Patrick De Zeeuw, Co-founder of Startupbootcamp, Innoleaps and The Talent Institute was recently named one of the 50 Future Makers who’ve been shaking up and driving the Dutch innovation ecosystem to the top of the world!

Early this year, StartupDelta Summit went in search of builders of the Dutch startup ecosystem. The resulting list of 50 inspirational ‘Future makers’ was carefully curated through nominations from the entire startup ecosystem – from director to innovation manager to startup manager; Who are the exceptional individuals strengthening and connecting the startup world in the Netherlands? Put together after taking into consideration over 6800 votes, the 50 individuals who were nominated come from the various sub-pillars that support the startup community: Capital, talent, expertise, network, support and launching customership.

Patrick was there right from the beginning, when the accelerator model started making waves and gaining traction in Europe. He takes his place as one of the Top 50 Future Makers, within the ‘support’ pillar, which is an important part of the ecosystem that helps deliver and nurture the know-how and programming for startups, scale-ups and large enterprises to successfully grow. In specific areas, startups, scale-ups and global enterprises can really use the help of organizations to support their growth –  and acceleration for example, prepares companies for exponential growth of market share.

Patrick is the powerful driving force behind Startupbootcamp, and its 2 other sister companies, Innoleaps (the accelerator for global enterprises) and The Talent Institute (the accelerator for digital talent). For the past 8 years, he has committed himself to working hard on a better future for the innovators and entrepreneurs of Netherland and the world. The 3 companies he’s kick-started, are part of the greater, ‘We Empower Innovators’ Ecosystem and Digital Platform. Since 2010 all 3 companies have experienced rapid growth. “Taking all the credit for this is way too much..It’s all because of the amazing team we have built in the last 8 years”, said Patrick after his “nomination”.

Startupbootcamp (SBC) has offices in 18 countries worldwide. Since 2010 SBC has invested in and accelerated more than 600 startups. As of 2018 at least 210 new startups will be added to the SBC portfolio and in 2018 alone, the company will analyse 100,000 startups. This enables SBC to, based on its insights, forecast the new business models and applications that will be entering the market in the next few years.

Innoleaps empowers and creates “corporate startups” for global enterprises such as Philips, Unilever, ING Bank, Rabobank, Vivat, JDE Coffee, Heineken and many more corporates, with its corporate accelerator programs and executive training sessions on how to embrace and implement “The Startup Way” of operating within a large organization. What’s more, in May this year, Innoleaps broke into the Chinese market and launched its operations in Shanghai with a corporate accelerator program for the leading dairy company in the world: FrieslandCampina. Since 2014 The Talent Institute has trained over 700 digital talents that now work at scale-ups and corporates, bringing them the digital mind-, skill- and toolset to grow “The Startup Way”.

“Although we started 8 years ago, I still feel that we are a startup. We’re only just scratching the surface. There are so many startups, scale-ups, corporates and talent that need help to grow. Technology is changing faster than ever and the thresholds to start something from scratch are lower than ever. Building companies from scratch has always been what I love most – going from 0 to 1 gives me the ability to create and build. Building a company that empowers others to do this as well is for me, the best thing I could do to contribute to society and economic growth. Onwards!”- Patrick De Zeeuw
