Innoleaps has FrieslandCampina as its launching customer for 1st corporate accelerator program in China
Amsterdam, 8th May 2018 – Innoleaps, the company that brings fast innovation methodologies typical of startups to established corporations, has launched a new acceleration program in Shanghai. This is the first Innoleaps Corporate Accelerator program in China, focused on venture building for one of the biggest dairy companies in the world; FrieslandCampina.
FrieslandCampina is sending three corporate startup teams into the 13-week Innoleaps accelerator program. The focus is to build a new business in China by applying startup methodologies to reduce long innovation cycles, and successful product launches in just a few weeks. The FrieslandCampina Shanghai program is the third corporate accelerator program Innoleaps organizes for the dairy company.
The founders of Innoleaps, Patrick de Zeeuw and Ruud Hendriks are both successful entrepreneurs, investors and pioneers in startup acceleration. They co-founded Startupbootcamp in 2010. With more than 630 startups accelerated, and programs in 17 cities globally, Startupbootcamp is one of the largest startup accelerators in the world. 3 years ago De Zeeuw and Hendriks also co-founded The Talent Institute, an accelerator for digital talent that both Scale-ups as large enterprises need in order to grow. Since 2015, The Talent Institute has trained over 750 young digital talents. De Zeeuw recently mentioned having conversations with the government of Shanghai to bring The Talent Institute to Shanghai as well.
In 2013, de Zeeuw and Hendriks co-founded Innoleaps, the accelerator for global enterprises. Many large enterprises need to incorporate lean innovation methodologies and an entrepreneurial culture within their own organizations to be able to keep up with the rapid pace of innovation and development of new business models. This comes with implications because corporates are great in the day-to-day execution but not set up for evidence-based innovation, experiment design, rapid prototyping and business model innovation, which are core disciplines used by most startups and scale-ups.
“Besides running our Startupbootcamp startup accelerator in Chengdu, we notice that Shanghai is extremely entrepreneurial and the government is really facilitating tech-driven entrepreneurship. I learned that there is a saying called ‘China speed’. We use that combination of speed, new methodologies, and entrepreneurs that we add to the team, to identify the ‘route to market’ for the corporate startups we accelerate,” says de Zeeuw.
Innoleaps helps companies to transition from the traditional corporate-driven model to a customer-centric, market-driven approach that closely aligns to market needs introducing best practices from startups and scale-ups into established global corporations. What sets Innoleaps apart is the focus on venture building with experienced local entrepreneurs that know the market and help the corporate startup teams accelerate fast. Among clients of Innoleaps are Unilever, JDE Coffee, FrieslandCampina, Heineken, Vivat, ING Bank, Rabobank, Philips, Athlon and AholdDelhaize and McKinsey.
